Many people exchange messages or pictures with friends and colleagues as well as important information on WhatsApp. The popular messaging app automatically saves this information to Google Drive for free. As a result, users can easily save all WhatsApp messages, photos or videos exchanged online for free. For so long, Google Drive has been able to store as much data as it wants, but WhatsApp is going to introduce new data storage rules. If this rule is implemented, no more than 15 GB of WhatsApp information can be kept in Google Drive. As a result, users will have to save WhatsApp information in exchange for money when the designated space is exhausted.
In the meantime, WhatsApp has started showing messages to its beta users about the new data protection rules. It has been said that, within the next 30 days, the new method of dat storage will be introduced. However, the WhatsApp authority has not officially given any information about this.
It should be noted that currently WhatsApp information storage space is not specified, so information can be stored in Google Drive as desired. When the new rules are introduced, you will have to regularly delete old data, photos or videos to free up space on Google Drive. If it is not possible to free up space, users will be forced to save WhatsApp data online in exchange for money.
