iPhone security is generally stronger than Android phones. For this, Apple updates the security system in almost all versions of iOS. But recently, a man from the US state of Minnesota fooled the iPhone's strong security system. He stole about two million US dollars from users' accounts by collecting iPhone passcodes using various techniques. To solve this problem, Apple is going to bring a new feature called 'Stolen Device Protection' in the next version of iOS.
According to Apple, the 'Stolen Device
Protection' feature will be added in iOS-17.3 version. If this facility is
activated, even if the passcode is known after the iPhone is stolen, the Apple
ID cannot be changed without the user's Face ID and fingerprint. Not only that,
there will be no chance to change the passcode of the stolen iPhone or turn off
the 'Find My iPhone' security feature. As a result, the iPhone owner can
quickly locate the stolen iPhone as well as temporarily disable their various
accounts.
Apple said that the functionality of the 'Stolen
Device Protection' feature is currently being tested in the experimental
version of iOS 17.3. The new version of iOS will be released to everyone in January.
